Rotary Clubs of D9660: Redistricting Vote
Record your club's Yes or No vote on the proposal to redistrict District 9660 with Districts 9685 and 9640 from 1 July 2028. One vote per club.

What Is The Redistricting Vote?
At the June 2026 meeting, the Rotary International Board made an in-principle decision to reduce the 19 current districts to 9.
District 9660 proposes to redistrict with District 9685 and District 9640, with the boundary of the new district being the Parramatta River and the Queensland border, effective 1 July 2028. This combines Rotary districts 9660 and 9685 with the 20 clubs in 9640 (north of 9660 to the Queensland border), making a new district of 166 clubs and 3,538 Rotarians as at 1 July 2026.
Every club in District 9660 is asked to record a formal Yes or No position. Clubs have 30 days from receiving the proposal to discuss it and vote.
Voting closes 1 September 2026.
Who Lodges The Vote
One vote per club. The vote should be lodged by the club President or Secretary, after the club has had the chance to discuss the proposal.
All 93 District 9660 clubs vote, including Rotaract clubs and the satellite club.
The first submission for a club is the club's vote and it is final. If someone else has already voted for your club, the form will tell you who lodged it and when.

Lodging Your Club's Vote
- Go to support.rotary9660.org.au/redistricting-vote. There is no login: anyone with the link can open it.
- Select your club from the dropdown. Clubs that have already voted are greyed out and cannot be selected.
- Choose Yes or No.
- Enter your name and select your position in the club (President, Secretary, or Other). If you choose Other, type your position, for example Public Officer.
- Optionally add comments. Anything you write here goes to the District Governor along with your vote, so it is the place to record concerns or conditions.
- Select Submit your club's vote.
The confirmation on screen restates the club, the vote recorded and the time, and offers the certificate to download.
What Happens After You Submit
- The confirmation screen offers a PDF certificate of your club's vote to download. Save it before you close the page, because no email address is collected and it cannot be sent to you afterwards. If you lose it, email districtgovernor@rotary9660.org.au and a copy can be reissued.
- The District Governor is notified of each vote as it comes in.
- The vote is recorded in the district's formal register, which is what the certification to Rotary International is drawn from.
No email address is asked for, so there is no confirmation email. The on-screen confirmation and the certificate are your club's proof.
How The Result Is Decided
This part is often misunderstood, so it is worth being precise.
The proposal does not proceed only if a majority of the clubs in the district reject it. With 93 clubs, that means 47 clubs would have to vote No.
Two things follow from that:
- It is not a majority of the votes cast. More No votes than Yes votes among the clubs that have responded does not defeat the proposal.
- A club that does not respond is not a rejection. It simply is not counted either way.
Fixing A Mistake
Email districtgovernor@rotary9660.org.au with your club name and what needs to change.
Votes are never deleted. A corrected vote is recorded as a new entry and the original is marked as superseded, so the audit trail stays intact. This matters because the result is certified to Rotary International.
Troubleshooting
My club is greyed out and says "already voted". Someone from your club has already lodged it. Check with your President and Secretary first. If it was not authorised, email districtgovernor@rotary9660.org.au and the district will correct the record.
I cannot find my club in the list. Two clubs are named Narrabri, so the Rotaract one appears as Narrabri (Rotaract Club). The eClub appears as Rotary Eastern Australia Online (E-Club of District 9650), which is its registered name with Rotary International. Hastings Enviro appears as Hastings Enviro (Satellite Club).
The form says voting is closed. Voting has either not opened yet or has finished. If you believe your club still needs to vote, email districtgovernor@rotary9660.org.au.
One of the document links will not open. The proposal documents are hosted outside the district's own systems. If a link fails, email districtgovernor@rotary9660.org.au and a copy will be sent to you directly.
I closed the page before downloading the certificate. Your vote is still recorded; only the certificate is lost. Email districtgovernor@rotary9660.org.au and a copy can be reissued from the register.
My vote would not submit. Nothing is recorded unless you see the on-screen confirmation. Try again, and if it still fails email districtgovernor@rotary9660.org.au with your club name and your vote so it can be recorded manually.
